Pastors’ Newsletter 2025
———————————————————————
Dear Friends, Beloved Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
We trust that your Christmas celebration has been lovely and peaceful this year.
One of the blessings of Advent is hope -
the blessed hope in our Saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ.
As we reflected on Jesus’ first coming, as a Christian,
we look forward expectantly to His Second Coming.
Whatever this Advent season has been like for you,
our prayer is that it has brought you into a closer walk with Jesus.
We would like to share some thoughts and spiritual encouragement with you,
as we all look ahead to the New Year 2026.
During this year, many of you have testified to God’s faithfulness,
as you navigated struggles, coped with disappointments, and faced trials.
This is encouraging for us as a small fellowship.
For in the face of adversity, we are to persevere and remain resilient
giving no room for the enemy.
When we face the unfamiliar, like a New Year,
this can leave us shaky and wondering what’s next.
Through the prophet Isaiah, God gives us some reassuring words :
“I will lead the blind by a way they did not know;
I will guide them on paths they have not known.
I will turn darkness to light in front of them and rough places into level ground.
This is what I will do for them, and I will not abandon them” (Isaiah 42:16).
None of us knows for sure what the future holds.
This uncertainty can be a source of stress, worry, and outright fear.
The people of Judah could not see what was ahead.
But God had good plans to sustain and deliver them.
God’s heart for us is the same.
You can stand on these soothing words that provide solid ground for us.
You can know as you walk into the unknown of 2026,
that God will lead you every step of the way.
No matter if you are physically, mentally, or spiritually limping into 2026,
God will guide you.
Nothing you face is too challenging for our God.
The God who led Judah through the unknown will faithfully lead you too.
He is not in the business of abandoning His children.
He is Immanuel - ‘God with us.’
The world is getting darker. Conflicts and wars persist.
The local and global Church faces spiritual opposition.
The devil wants to devour
But God’s Kingdom of light is advancing.
Our Commander-In-Chief will lead us into victory,
despite the relentless spiritual opposition.
This is our comfort in uncertain times :
God is willing to fight for His people like a warrior with intense determination.
God knows or strengths, weaknesses, failures, and mistakes.
Yet He still chooses to love us, come alongside us,
as we navigate.life with all its uncertainties.
He wants us to shine His light and radiate His love wherever darkness looms.
So friends, be encouraged.
Our journey into 2026 is not one we walk alone. Jesus walks with us.
Without Him, we can do nothing.
“Jesus, all I need in the New Year is You.”
As we welcome 2026, may we all cling to these truths and words of hope.
We wish you all a ‘Happy New Year’

Pastors’ Newsletter 2024
Beloved sisters, brothers, and friends,Firstly, we trust that you had a joyous and peaceful Christmas time.
For some of you, this Advent season, we know, has been a difficult time for you.
As we come to the end of 2024, we reflect on the life of this small Church fellowship.
We see the many ways God has been working in people’s hearts as we seek to live out the vision and mission of the Church.
We are grateful to the Lord our Shepherd for His faithfulness and goodness to us His sheep.
You may remember in February of this year we had to move location once again.
Our Good Shepherd provided the current site where we meet as a church family.
As we do that, we continue to share the building with a Spanish-speaking church fellowship.
It is a great gospel partnership as we continue to share the light and life of Jesus,
with all in Playa Blanca and surrounding areas.
Earlier this year, two sisters in Christ were baptised in water as they committed to serving Jesus.
This is what it’s all about : coming into relationship with Jesus, abiding in Him and
desiring to lovingly obey and serve Him as He changes us from one degree of glory to another.
Even in the hard seasons individuals experienced, there have been testimonies of ‘God encounters.’
As you know, this year has been exceptionally challenging for many of us.
Health issues, coping with the uncertainties in personal relationships and loss of loved ones are a few to mention.
In all of these, we thank God for Jesus and the blessed hope we have as believers.
As a church family, God’s grace has been sufficient for us all during this year.
A lesson we all have learnt along the way is not to depend on ourselves, but to embrace our God Who is all-sufficient.
He is Sovereign and He determines the purpose for each moment of our lives.
King Solomon in Ecclesiastes 3 says,
“There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven...”
Just like in the physical so too in the spiritual : 'Seasons come and seasons go.'
Know the season you’re in and embrace the change that it is bringing.
As a small church family, we are entering a new season.
A new season that the Lord our Shepherd is leading us into graciously.
In Isaiah 43:19 the Lord says, “See, I am doing a new thing...do you not see it.”
God is preparing us for something new.
We are not to allow things of the past, - ‘the winter of our lives’- to keep us from receiving the ‘new’ that the Lord is promising.
We are encouraging you friends to embrace the new thing God is doing in your life.
As a fellowship, let us listen closely to what His Spirit is saying.
Let us ‘tune in’ by continuing to pray, spending time with the Lover of your soul,
Jesus and stay spiritually healthy in His Word.
Embrace the new thing God is about to do in this small Church with the big heart for more of Him.
Embrace the life the Spirit gives, so that we all come alive in Christ in 2025.
Let us all look forward with great expectation to 2025 with hearts focused on Jesus.
Our prayer for you is :
“Beloved, I pray that in every way you may succeed and prosper and
be in good health (physically) just as I know your soul prospers spiritually,” (3 John verse 2 -AMP).
The Lord bless you and keep you, as go into the New Year 2025.
